New Poem Day # 2...

This week's new old poem:

Their Fault

If they had
told us that
we weren't
allowed to
fiddle with the
pizza before
sending it back
in exchange
for a new one,
we never would
have formed the
pepperonis into
an angry face,
and Domino's
would still deliver
to my house.

Hello Mr Manning, I was wondering if I could be so bold as to ask if there is any possibility I could get a signed copy of "The Batman Files"? May 15th is my boyfriend's and my first anniversary and he is a huge comic book fan, batman being his all time favorite hero. I saw him looking though the book at Barns and Noble not too long. Let’s just say his face lit up. He looked like a child finding mom's secret stash of cookies. He was amazed at your dedication to research batman's entire life and to include old comic panels. Unfortunately for him, yet fortunately for me when he went back to purchase it the next day it was gone. I read somewhere that the first anniversary‘s traditional gift is paper and although we are not married he is my first boyfriend and I really want to do something special for him. He is a great guy and he deserves it. So I’m putting myself and my awful fear of rejection out on the line to see how this turns out. I am willing to buy the book, mail it to wherever in the world you might be and pay for return shipping :). So what are my chances?

Ps. I’m also upset about pizza delivery; apparently some stores don’t deliver in Brooklyn even though they have a takeout store relatively close. I blame their fear of the neighborhood :-/.
Hi,

I'd be happy to sign a copy for you. Do you have an email address I can contact you at?
